Welcome to Shannon Rikard State Farm Agency in Columbia, SC!  My team and I are honored to serve and take care of the people of South Carolina.  We take a “hometown” approach, where we strive to know everyone by name!  We pride ourselves in excellence when it comes to taking care of our customers.  Our goal is to make you feel welcome and important when you need us!

We are passionate about educating our customers and making sure we can take care of their individual needs.  We do things different here.  We consider ourselves to be risk managers and our job is to help you protect what you've worked so hard for.  We love being a resource to those moving to Columbia, Irmo, Chapin, Lexington and the surrounding area!

I was born and raised right down the road in Lexington, SC.  I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Business Administration, and immediately went to work for a State Farm agent upon graduation.  I’m proud to say I opened up my State Farm agency in 2015 in the place I have always called home!  My husband, Preston, and I love anything to do with the outdoors!  He is passionate about bass fishing, so we spend a lot of time on Lake Murray! We have 3 young children who keep us busy in our day to day lives and we wouldn’t have it any other way!  We are so fortunate to be surrounded by so much family where we live.  We’re happy to have a business in the place we have both always called home.

We also have 2 cats, Oreo and Foxy. I cheer for the Gamecocks, but am a WV mountaineer fan all the way! I am the customer service manager in our office and handle all things related to billing and claims.  I have 5 years of experience working for Shannon Rikard State Farm.  I love helping our customers with all of their insurance needs and letting them know that I am here for them to answer any questions they may have!
